
About Paul Bowers
Paul Bowers, FNP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with diverse experience in the medical field. He works at West Family Medicine and serves patients of all ages in Pocatello and the surrounding communities. Paul currently treats patients with acute and chronic illnesses. He specializes in trigger point, as well as joint injections. He is a certified Medical Examiner for DOT physicals.
Paul grew up farming and ranching in southeastern Idaho. While working at Bannock Memorial Hospital, he earned his first Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from ISU. He continued his education in Portland, Oregon, graduating with a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Western States University. He returned to Pocatello and worked as a chiropractor at his own chiropractic clinic for 15 years.
Paul returned to school in 2009 to expand his knowledge and skills to help his patients more. While running his chiropractic clinic, he earned an additional Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. He continued his education, earning his Master of Science in Nursing degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. While working on his Master’s degree, he also worked as a charge nurse at a skilled nursing facility and as an adjunct faculty teaching Anatomy and Physiology for the audiology department at ISU.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and being at the farm. He loves Razr riding and being outdoors. He enjoys woodworking, welding, and gardening.
